The new generation of roadside lidar---VanJee 733 is officially on sale!

After a large number of tests and verifications, the performance and quality of VanJee roadside LiDAR have been widely admitted after the actual combat of multiple projects such as Suzhou High-Speed Railway New City, Xiongan New District, and Guangzhou Qifu Tunnel. Today, we officially launched a new generation of roadside LiDAR WLR-733, with 64 lines of downward beam design, with high-quality point cloud and a large detection area, specially designed for roadside detection.
 
64 line beams are all downward with well-organized point clouds and accurately perceive the road information. 

More accurate perception and recognition of road targets is the main advantage of roadside LiDAR over other sensors, and it is the foundation of its establishment in intelligent transportation systems.

To better detect the target, the 64-line beams of WLR-733 are all scanned downwards, and within the vertical field angle range of -1.5°~-42°, the laser spot frequency is all used to identify road participants to maximize the scanning efficiency.
 
With the support of the minimum vertical angular resolution of 0.1 degrees, the ground point cloud of the 733 LiDAR is evenly distributed from near to far, while taking into account the density of near and far point clouds, which is beneficial to the identification of the target.

We always believe that there is no best form of technology, only the most suitable form of technology. Based on the real needs of roadside detection, the WLR-733 LiDAR, 360-degree horizontal field of view, adopts the technical form of mechanical scanning. The 10% of the reflective surface has a measurement range of 200m, and the farthest ground line is 110m, taking into account the “Measurement Distance” and “Measurement Span”.

This advantage is even more prominent in practical applications. In the point cloud video below, we can see that the sensing range of a 733Lidar has almost covered the entire intersection.

LiDAR plus AI Algorithm
Data analysis and identification in one step

In addition to providing high-quality original point cloud data, we also launched an AI algorithm box. Through structured data analysis, LiDAR can effectively identify targets such as motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles, and pedestrians on the road, as well as information such as the objects and the volume of flow, etc. Correct and accurate road data will provide a reliable basis for traffic control and vehicle-road coordination.

Easy installation, reliable quality
Cost saving of project implementation and operation

The cost issue has always been the biggest obstacle to the large-scale popularization of LiDAR on the road. Excepting increasing the detection area and reducing the number of installations, we can also begin from two aspects, one is to reduce the implementation cost, and the other is to improve product quality and reduce maintenance costs.

In terms of installation, the LiDAR detecting partial view must be installed on a separate crossbar in the middle of the road, which brings a large cost burden of installation, and the advantage of the 360-degree full-vision WLR-733 allows it to be directly installed on the existing roadside on the pole with the great reduction on the installation cost.
